2008 Keynote Speaker: Hon. Donald R. Ford, Sr.
This year's Law Day theme was "The Rule of Law: Foundation for Communities of Opportunity and Equity". This year marked the 50 year Anniversary of the Law Day program. In marking the 50 year anniversary, we held Law Day Tours for area high school students during the weeks of April 21 through April 24, and April 28 through May 1. Are students were guided to Family and Juvenile Court, the County Prosecutor's Office, Probate Court, Criminal Court, and Warren Municipal Court. The following volunteers acted as tour guides and we appreciate your efforts!

We were pleased to add Volunteer School Speakers which we offered to area school systems during the month of March. Judge Richard James, of Family Court and retired Judge Lynn Griffith, Jr. spoke to students at LaBrae High School, and Attorney Enzo Canatalmessa of Davis & Young spoke to students at Trumbull Career and Technical Center. We look forward to offering speakers to the area schools again in the near future.
We also offered area high school students the opportunity to shadow a Bar Association member during the morning of May 2, 2008 and to attend the Law Day Luncheon with their Mentor Attorney. Following is a list of students and attorneys who participated in this year's program:

Our Law Day drawing, essay and multi-media contest brought in a record number of entries this year. We wish to thank all of the schools and students for your participation! The drawing contest entries will be on display at the "Art Outreach Gallery" at the Eastwood Mall from the weeks of May 5th through May 18th and again June 6th through June 18th. From there, donated to a display at the Board of Elections until after the November elections. Our contest winners are as follows:
